Biography of Philippe WINNEN
Philippe Winnen né à Saint-Gilles, une commune bruxelloise, le 13/11/1904 habitait rue du Fort 47 dans la même commune.
Faisant partie d'un groupe de résistants, il fût arrêté le 9 février 1943, enfermé à la forteresse de Breendonck et fusillé le 6 juillet 1943 au Tir National à Schaerbeek, pour le motif de détention d'armes. Philippe Winnen a été inhumé dans l'enclos des Fusillés rangée III, tombe n°43
Un pavé en sa mémoire a été posé devant son dernier domicile officiel, à l'initiative de la Fondation Auschwitz, en partenariat avec l'Association Pour la Mémoire de la Shoah.
