About the Stolpersteine Guide

Short version

The Stolpersteine Guide shows Stolpersteine on a map, tells the biographies of the people they commemorate and offers themed guided tours to the Stolpersteine. Map, biographies and app are free for everyone.

Long version

The Stolpersteine Guide makes Gunter Demnig's Stolpersteine accessible digitally: on a map with every stone entered, with the biographies of the people they commemorate, and with themed guided tours to the Stolpersteine in the app. The content is maintained by the local initiatives that document the Stolpersteine of their town. The Stolpersteine Guide has been run by Peter Nürnberger and Kim-Julian Becker in Leipzig since 2013 and is free of charge. It originated at Trier University of Applied Sciences and was temporarily funded in 2020 by the state digitisation programme for science and culture.
