Frieda Gimpel – Am Markt 5

Die Jüdin Frieda Gimpel, geb. Heumann, kam am 30. Juni 1894 in Celle zur Welt. Über Kindheit und Jugend ist nichts bekannt. Als Erwachsene arbeitete sie im "Berliner Warenhaus" der Brüder Freidberg, die ebenfalls Juden waren. Das damals größte Warenhaus Celles befand sich am Markt 5. Nach einer Zeit in Hannover zog Frieda Gimpel nach Berlin. Am 1. März 1943 wurde sie nach Auschwitz deportiert. Sie wurde als "verschollen" registriert.
